CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR CENTENNIAL MILESTONE MAKERERE UNIVERSITY!!!
Dear UNAA Members, Family and friends,
I was blessed to have been part of the Centenary Celebrations of Makerere University this morning together with thousands of Alumni, friends of Makerere and well wishers.
The 100th Anniversary of Makerere University was marked by musical and dance performances, brass band marches on the campus of Makerere University and the unveiling of a monument commemorating the university’s first graduating class. President Museveni delivered a speech at the conclusion of the event. The event was covered by television outlets including NBS, UBC, NTV, SPARK among others; live streams were also available on all social media platforms associated with Makerere University. This celebration marks a century of excellence for Makerere University and offers an opportunity to look beyond into its future as it aims to “leverage 100 years of excellence in building a transformed society.”
Again, UNAA continues to build long lasting partnerships with various counterparts out there that will benefit its membership.
Therefore, join us as we close out a Centennial Celebration and let’s look forward to another 100 more.
