Good morning UNAA Family and Friends of UNAA,

I pray that you are all faring well.

I would like to share with you an opportunity that has been brought to my attention from the US State Department that could be helpful to many of our Undergraduate Members that meet the requirements.

The USA Foreign Affairs Department has an Information Technology Fellowship program that accepts students from a diversified background especially underrepresented in Foreign Service.

This 2-year competitive program only selects 15 student applicants and each receive an academic support of $43,500 annually for tuition, room and board, books, mandatory fees and travel expenses.

Applicants should meet the following requirements;

  • Be a U.S. citizen at the time of application;
  • Be enrolled in an IT-related undergraduate degree program and entering junior year in the fall of 2023 OR entering an IT-related master’s degree program beginning in the fall of 2023;
  • Hold a minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale at the time of the application, and maintain this GPA throughout participation in the program; and
  • Be able to pass and retain medical, suitability, and security clearance requirements.
