UNAA Appointment For Director Of Development

Dear UNAA Members and Diaspora Community at Large,

It is with much pleasure that I announce the appointment of the Three UNAA Directors as stipulated in _Article 6.7, 6.8 and 6.9 of the UNAA Constitution._

Mr. Damiano Kigoye has been Appointed as the UNAA Director of Development.

Mr. Kigoye is an Accountant by Profession and owns Matrix Financial and Accounting Services, Inc. He has been a Community Volunteer and Organizer with over 15 years of Community service and vast experience in leadership, communication, social perceptiveness and administration and has served his local California community in various capacities.

Mr Kigoye was the President—Uganda Community Organization in California (UCOC) 2015 – June 2019 • • UCOC Secretary 2005 – 2006 Re-elected • Member – UNAA Audit Council 2006 – 2007 • UCOC Secretary 2003 – 2004 • UCOC Treasurer 2002 – 2003 Re-elected • UCOC Treasurer 2001 – 2002 • UCOC Youth Leader 2000-2001 Appointed and serves on the UNAA Constitution Review Committee.

Damiano’s mobilization skills enabled him to organize various community events with the aim of bringing the community together, increase UCOC membership, mobilized the life insurance drive and established an Immigration Legal Aide Clinic and the recent Ndagamuntu drive in California. We look forward to seeing him replicate these achievements in UNAA.

Please join me in Congratulating Damiano on his Appointment and he comes with the much-needed wealth of mobilization and organization that we look forward to tapping into as UNAA.
