UNAA Statement About Kasese Terrorist Attacks On Father’s Day

REMEMBERING THE 37 LIVES LOST DURING THE TERRORIST ATTACK IN KASESE THIS FATHERS DAY !

Happy Father’s Day to the Ugandan Diaspora Community !

Your hard work , dedication , and sacrifice inspire our children to do more for others in life . We appreciate all that you do to provide for your families and communities , even when you are far away from home .

On this special day , we also remember those fathers who have passed away , and we honor those who have stepped in to look after children without fathers . Your love and support have made a tremendous difference in the lives of those you care for , and we are grateful for your kindness and generosity

We Specially want to offer our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the children who lost their lives in the Kasese Massacre in Uganda . The loss of innocent lives is always a tragedy , and I can only imagine the pain and grief that their parents are experiencing at this difficult time .

This heinous act committed by the ADF rebels is a stark reminder of the need for increased efforts to protect children in schools . No child should have to fear for their safety while pursuing an education , and it is the responsibility of the Ugandan government to ensure that schools are safe havens for learning and growth .

Sadly , this is not the first time that children have been killed in Uganda . We have had them before in 2016 , and 2018. These incidents serve as a reminder that we must remain vigilant in our efforts to protect children and ensure their safety at all times . We therefore join with others in calling upon the Ugandan government to pursue justice for all those who have lost their lives in this senseless act of violence .

It is imperative that those responsible for this atrocity are held accountable for their actions , and that steps are taken to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future . Once again , please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time . Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time .

Sincerely,

Henrietta Nairuba Wamala
