INTRODUCING THE UNAA TRADE & INVESTMENT FORUM AT THE UNAA SANFRANCISCO 2022

Dear UNAA Members & Diaspora Community at Large,
The Ugandan North American Association (UNAA) is pleased to invite you to the 14th Annual Trade and Investments Forum that will be held during its 34th Annual Convention at the Hilton Hotel Union Square in San Francisco, CA.
In keeping with trade and investment forums in previous years, the purpose of this forum will be as follows.
To promote trade between Uganda and North America (USA and Canada)
To promote increased investment in Uganda by diasporan Ugandans in North America
In recent years, we have also begun to promote investments here in North America. For the most part, these have been in the stock market and other financial instruments but we are always open to other ideas.
This forum is being planned with a keen understanding of what has happened before and what is realistically achievable. After all, “we” are the principal audience at this forum – people who have regular jobs and lives here and probably have no intention of relocating back to Uganda any time soon.
So, during the course of our planning we asked the question, “for say a teacher in Chicago (or RN in Dallas, DC, Boston or wherever), what kind of program can we put together that will draw their interests and get them to either get involved or get more involved than they already are?” For here is where we will register the greatest returns and successes.
