A Happy Thanksgiving

A BLESSED & SAFE THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!!

Dear UNAA Members, Family and Friends,

On behalf of the UNAA Leadership, I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Holiday. We hope that your Thanksgiving Day is filled with blessings, joy, and laughter from of family, friends.
We also would like to put those of us that are facing tough times in our prayers, members such as our adherent UNAA Member and supporter Mr. Cody Lorrance whose father is fighting for his life in the ICU with Covid-19. We lift him up in prayer and ask the might Lord to bless him with his loving care and healing as he fights for his life.

We continue to be grateful for each and every one of you that makes a difference in another person’s life that is less fortunate than you are, and are thankful for those that put their lives on the line everyday so that we can enjoy the peace and luxuries offered in the country that has adopted us.

As your President, am specifically thankful again for the tireless volunteers in our Ugandan community that foster relationships, deliver the spirit of Ubuntu by bringing us together to celebrate one another in the good times and lean on each other in times of sorrow. As we attend these festive gatherings, let’s remember to stay vigilant and practice safety especially for those that are travelling to Uganda where we have the health alerts on Ebola. Let us also stay vigilant here in the USA and protect ourselves from the Flu and Covid for yes that season is upon us once again as we head into the Winter Season.

Therefore, as we spare no turkeys and slave those stoves, let’s not forget those that need us in our communities by reaching out to them and offer help. For those in dire need of help, do not hesitate to call your local 311 number. Let’s check on the elderly and sick that are not able to leave their houses and make sure they are fed and are okay, let’s spread the cheer as we look forward to this holiday season by sharing, caring, and giving.

Please watch out for communication from our Secretariat that will be introducing the early bird registration soon for the next gathering, and as you think of Dallas 2023, we encourage you to get involved as members and keep up with the updates at www.unaaonline.org

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Sincerely,

Henrietta Nairuba Wamala

President & CEO, UNAA on behalf of the Ugandan North American Association Leadership.
